Add text and signatures without a PDF editor
Most situations where you need to "sign" a PDF come down to two things: typing your name, date, or other information into the right spots, and placing a visual representation of your signature. This tool handles both without needing Adobe Acrobat or any other installed software.
Upload the PDF, draw your signature on the pad, then click anywhere on the page to place text or signature elements. Everything is draggable before you apply. The signature is embedded as a PNG image; text is drawn using Helvetica at the size and color you choose.

Frequently asked questions
How is a drawn signature embedded in the PDF?
Your signature is captured on a canvas element and saved as a PNG data URL. When you apply the document, the PNG is embedded directly into the PDF page at the position and scale you set. It is stored as a raster image in the file, not as a vector or cryptographic signature.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
This tool adds a visual representation of your signature as an image. It does not use cryptographic signing (PKCS#7 or PAdES digital signatures), so it does not provide tamper evidence or legally binding digital signature status under eIDAS or ESIGN Act frameworks. For legal documents requiring certified e-signatures, use a compliant signing platform.
Can I fill in existing form fields?
The tool adds text and signature images as overlaid content on the PDF pages. It does not interact with AcroForm field widgets that are part of the PDF form structure. For structured form fields, use the Fill & Sign or flatten workflow after filling with a PDF reader.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The PDF is rendered in your browser using pdfjs-dist and the signed output is generated using pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Your signature drawing and document content stay on your device.
Can I move or remove items after placing them?
Yes. Before clicking Apply, you can drag any placed text or signature to reposition it. Hover over an item to reveal the delete button. Text fields can be double-clicked to edit the content. Nothing is permanent until you click Apply and download the result.
