Frequently asked questions

Are these audio tools free?

Yes, completely free with no signup, no account, and no limits. All tools are open source and will stay free.

Do my audio files get uploaded to a server?

No. All conversion, merging, and normalization runs in your browser via FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your audio files never leave your device.

Why does it take a moment to start the first time?

The FFmpeg WebAssembly engine (~25 MB) downloads once on first use and is then cached by your browser. Subsequent visits and operations start immediately.

Is there a file size limit?

No enforced limit. Processing is in-browser, so practical limits depend on your device memory. Audio files are typically much smaller than video, so most tracks work without issue.

Which audio formats are supported?

Input: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, FLAC, AAC, AIFF, OPUS, and most other common formats. Output varies by tool — see each tool page for supported output formats.
